Contemporary mercantile globalization as a reconfiguration of the absolute state

Abstract

This research analyzes the characteristics that animate the absolute state proposed by Thomas Hobbes as an articulation of civility in the face of the multiple barbarities that the natural state presents. Next, he identifies the contemporary mercantile globalization project as a reconfiguration of absolutism, promoting the market as an entity that coordinates all social practices. This means the cancellation of politics as coordination and confluence of subjectivities; in this sense, it undermines the dialogic capacity of the communities. The necessary emancipations merit the rescue of the capacity to coordinate politics on the part of society, favoring the expression of solidarity and compassion as a request of the democratic State. It is a bibliographic research, from the rationalist-deductive approach.
