In the present essay, product of a documentary review, some necessary approaches are made to debate today about the figure of the intellectual, to analyze the forcefulness and importance of his ideas beyond their successes or misunderstandings. The transcendence aspect of a new margin is constantly emphasized in which thinkers whose north is historical fidelity and the benefit to men of just proceeding. To develop this document, it was necessary to support on authors of the intellectual stature of Chomsky, Fernández Retamar , Gramsci, Dalton and Vargas Llosa, among others, who supplied the necessary principles and debates around the social image of the intellectual. In this sense, without a doubt, the currently necessary intellectual is the one who can manage himself without the figure and financial support of a superior, it is sufficient to lift the typical culture up of submission and especially that which promotes fun instead of critical critical.
