The social multiverse as reality. The Covid19 pandemic.

The global crisis caused by Covid19 evidenced and accelerated the breakdown of the homogeneous identity / culture models promoted by modern states. The societies of both rich and poor countries present a growing division, not only in terms of income, but also in common elements that allowed us to speak of the existence of a society-territory unit. The social multiverse is a theoretical proposal from physics that, when used as a sociological metaphor, allows us to analyze and explain the characteristics and changes that are taking place in modern societies. The Covid19 pandemic around the world shows that the logical integration of Durkheim, which was a minimum requirement for the functioning of nation-states, has been broken into multiple visions. In this article we analyze some of the reactions to the pandemic that illustrate the idea of the social multiverse.
