Abstract

Anything that does not bear witness over time will be forgotten. The towns that we are gradually seeing ageing run the risk of losing a large part of their immaterial heritage, transmitted orally. During the 2023/2024 academic year, in the subject "Fundamentals of Visual and Plastic Education" of the Primary Education degree at the University of Valladolid, we developed the project " Memory in Extinction: A project for the recovery of intangible heritage in danger of being forgotten. Art, memory and education" for the recovery of intangible heritage villages of Castilla y León. Through active teaching/learning methodologies, students traveled to their childhood to rescue part of the intangible heritage at risk, customs, objects and games of their villages, transforming them into a current game or toy inspired by the traditional. Thus, in addition to developing contents, competencies and learning situations related to the area of Didactics of Plastic Expression, we proposed the game as a methodology to recover and transmit all this memory of part of the emptied Spain.
